"I
attended Charlene's workshop at Gilda's in Detroit in Sept.
It was called Living, Loving, Dying. I don't know exactly
what to say ... it was so everything. She was funny yet so
filled with wisdom and information. I laughed and I cried.
It was so spiritual ... I mean I felt like I was with some
spiritual master having a spiritual experience. I know Charlene,
which makes it all more exciting. She's well, just remarkable,
in so many ways." Kam, Detroit, Michigan.
"There
has been such positive feedback on your Living, Loving,
Dying workshop yesterday! Words like entertaining, funny,
deep, thought-provoking, and a great speaker! I had invited
a girlfriend to come, and her comment was "You don't know
how much I really needed to hear this today". I bet you get
that a lot! I personally felt like I was being reminded to
re-examine many of my spiritual truths. You captivated all
of us here at Gilda's Club Desert Cities and we feel blessed
to have had you here sharing with us all. Thank you so for
the gift of your time, talents and treasure. Stop back and
see us any time you're close to the paradise we call the desert!"
Love & Blessings, Sherry Sturch, Program Administrative
Asst., Gilda's Club Desert Cities
"I
recently enjoyed the privilege of attending Charlene Roycht's
Living, Dying and Loving talk at Gilda's Club Metro
Detroit. As a staff member of our Gilda's Club cancer support
community, I am rarely able to attend Gilda's workshops and
talks due to my other obligations there. On this occasion,
I was most delighted to be present for Charlene's talk as
she captured my attention with her humor and honesty and her
clear passion for inspiring the audience to a higher level
of conscious living. We were all blessed that day to be able
to learn from this powerful teacher that each and every one
of us has the power and responsibility to live life lovingly,
regardless of our circumstance. Thank you Charlene!"
Christine Spencer, M.A., L.P.C., N.C.C., Senior
Program Manager, Gilda's Club Metro Detroit
"The
Come to Your Senses workshop, in Sarnia in September,
was excellent! The only thing which would have made it better
would be if it was longer." Don
"I
was glad to have attended Come to Your Senses! I got
more out of it than I expected. I was struck by much of what
you presented. I loved when you shared information about one's
inner critic and living in the now. I loved how you presented
the concept of one's personal 'soup' of life with main ingredients
and spices. I intend to take some of your 'spices' and continue
to add them to my pot of soup called 'my life.' I want to
thank you for a great workshop. It really touched me."
Chris T., Sarnia, Ontario
"I
was deeply moved by Charlene's use of poetry and meaningful
quotes in her workshop Come To Your Senses. She awakened
in me an understanding of my bad habit of taking on too much
and feeling overwhelmed most of the time. Her invitation to
STOP, breath and go deeper really resonated with me and, although
I know it will be difficult, I am now equipped with better
skills to deal with all the activity around me. Thank you,
Charlene, for helping me get my life back on track!"
Blessings, Wendy Starr
"The
workshop 'Come To Your Senses' was fun, creative, and
deeply inspirational. Thank you for sharing your gift and
inspiring me to share mine." Rev. Barbara Schreiner-Trudel,
Centre for Conscious Living
"...a
wealth of experiences to focus on ... for personally going
deeper in my life. " participant in Come To Your Senses...
very good ... the poetry and resources ... so enjoyed all
the experiences ... listening, reading. Thank you for a wonderful
workshop." Monica
"Thank
you for reminding me of myself ... my incredible imagination
... my sense of possibility ... my creativity." Nathan
"Charlene
is a beautiful woman that is a gifted guide to the souls of
the universe; who's sensitive, humble and humorous. She has
a true calling and generous heart. A lighthouse for spirit
wandering in the deep forest of life. I recommend her for
anyone who truly wants to go deeper and come to their senses.
Thank you! " Dolphin B.

Come
To Your Senses and Then! is a participatory workshop
that will encourage one to go deeper within their own heart.
Using the senses as a stepping stone, participants will stop,
think, feel and record feelings about who they are, how they
feel, what's going on, what they'd like to change. Depending
on size of group, some sharing is encouraged. Charlene uses
a variety of resources including material from Marianne Williamson,
Dr. Wayne Dyer, Jon Kabat-Zinn, Don Miguel Ruiz, Earnest Holmes,
to name a few. Charlene constantly adds to the workshop, to
keep it fresh, to keep it challenging. She uses poetry by
Rumi, Mary Oliver, and others, and includes references from
various spiritual practices. Come
To Your Senses and Then! is a call to come to one's
senses and then to go further. Yes, take off your mask. Yes,
be in the moment. Yes, live the love. Yes ... be open to what's
next for you.
Come
To Your Senses and Then! has received accolades
from Gilda's Club participants in Toronto, Chicago, Detroit,
from MCC (Toronto), the Centre for Conscious Living (Toronto),
and Unity Congregation in Sarnia, Ontario. Charlene has given
workshops in Ontario, Arizona, Ohio, California, and Illinois.
New
Workshop in 2008! Soul Energy! What level is your
soul energy at? Can you define your soul energy? Is soul alive
and well? Fed daily? Is your soul energy ignored? How do you
care for your soul? Care of the soul can be inspiring and
exciting. This workshop may be taking place at a monastery
in Deventer, Holland, and will be available in Canada and
the U.S. as well.
Love
Yourself, which takes one through an exploration of literally
falling in love with yourself. We explore your feelings about
you ... and peel away those layers that hide the true you
... the likeable and loveable you. It's like you meet yourself
... date ... ask for you own hand in marriage ... and figure
out the right celebration for you ... to marry yourself!
A
More Sacred Life This workshop deals with your choices,
simply that. You are in charge... whether you take responsibility
for that, or not. How you spend your time, and we all have
twenty-four hours in our day, is really up to you. Yes, we
have responsibilities, some 'have-to's,' but still we have
choices with what little or what amount of time we have. A
More Sacred Life is about coming back to you, your heart,
your needs, and adding some sacred thought and action to your
day. I used to call this workshop the gift of time but it's
really about choosing to lead a more sacred life.
Living,
Loving, Dying... Reflections on Life and Our Choices Have
you chosen to live well? As well as you can? Love well, as
well as you can? Are you prepared to die? At peace within,
with yourself? Our choices are very personal but they are
our choices! How's your choice process? Do you take enough
time to think about your choices so you can reflect on them?
In this workshop Charlene shares her wisdom, uses many resources
to deepen your thought process. You are given time to think,
go deeper, feel, record and share. Living, Loving, Dying...
Reflections on Life and Our Choices was given to Gilda's
Club's in Detroit, Michigan and Palm Desert, California and
received great accolades.
"We'd like to express our gratitude for
your sharing of time and talent with our members at Gilda's
Club Metro Detroit. Your workshop Come to Your Senses
was very well received by our participants. Our members have
attended many wonderful workshops given by talented people
here at Gilda's Club. I'm pleased to say that the high expectations
our members have were exceeded by your presentation. Attendees
found you to be refreshingly frank and upbeat, personable
and knowledgeable. We are happy to recommend you as an excellent
presenter." Christine Spencer, MA, LPC, NCC
Senior Program Manager, Gilda's Club, Metro Detroit
[A

"The
fastest 2 hours ever spent. I was startled -- and disappointed
by the passing of time. I wished it to continue. Amazingly
good and enlightening." Thank You. Chris, Participant,
Come to Your Senses
"This
workshop helped me deal with the problems in my current relationship;
my reluctance to face the pain of ending it. I accepted, more,
my limitations due to my restrictions from cancer. Charlene
helped me to accept what is happening. I sure did get a lot
out of this time ... the way she discusses where we come from,
where we are NOW, and how to recognize what is changing is
excellent. Being in the now is an encouragement of hers. I'm
getting it more. I realize after her presentation, one of
the pains for me is loss of some dreams and the need to develop
new ones, but I'm not ready to admit that yet. She presents
from the heart, with enthusiasm, with an honesty that isn't
finger pointing. It's very loving yet strong. An excellent
workshop, she's an exciting yet down to earth presenter."
Participant, Come to Your Senses, Gilda's
