"I have had the privilege of hearing
Charlene Roycht speak on several occassions, most recently
on "Living, Loving and Dying". Charlene is an exceptionally
vibrant speaker. She speaks from the heart and her authenticity
is always apparent. Charlene captivates her audience with
her sincerity, knowledge and humour, and she always inspires
her audience on some level. Charlene always gives the impression
that she is talking just to YOU, that she really knows you
and speaks to exactly what you need , and what is 'good' for
you. For me personally, I always leave Charlene's talks feeling
'bettet', more optimistic and hopeful, and as if I want to
do more for the planet. Can't wait to hear her again!!!!"
L.G., Toronto
"Recently I had the pleasure of hearing
Charlene talk at a United Church in Toronto. She encouraged
us to be with a dying parent or loved one, the way we would
love someone to be with us, when we die. She was just so extra-ordinary.
She spoke from her heart, was down to earth, had so much to
say. Honestly, it was riveting. I guess it meant a lot to
me as my mother is not well, at all. I'll be improving my
caregiving skills, spending more time, trying to be more in
the moment with my mother, very much to the inspiration I
got from her talk. She really was so motivating." Jill
Wellson, Toronto
"Our
congregation had the recent pleasure of having Charlene share
with our members. Ms Roycht's enthusiastic spirit and love
of life is not only inspiring, but it's infectious. She brings
so much joy to message that you can't wait to hear what she
will say next. After hearing her, you can't help but want
pick up you walking staff and follow this troubadour of the
spirit to where ever she may lead you next. We are blessed
to have such a spirit amongst us." David Zalokar
Sunday Service Coordinator Neighbourhood Unitarian Universalist
Congretation Toronto, Ontario
"Without a doubt, Charlene Roycht is
a woman of immeasurable substance. Overcoming seemingly insurmountable
odds has provided Charlene with extraordinary strength and
courage; this comes through fully as she radiates a magnificent
energy when speaking. Here is a woman who can motivate others
to live life now...with love...with faith....with consciousness....with
integrity. Listen closely to Charlene just once and positively
change to living an intentional life of purpose." Sue
Hammond, Freelance Humanitarian Journalist
"Charlene
is always encouraging, always helping, always thinking, and
with all of this she makes us stop and think. Charlene is
about love and life and what we can do to make ourselves and
the world a better place. She provokes us to stop and think.
She shares so many messages: love, peace, action, prayer,
time for others, time for ourselves....After listening to
the talk entitled Coming to Your Senses, I knew that
I just have to take the time to stop and think, and to feel.
Charlene is an inspirational speaker who makes you think you
can make a difference. After listening to her I'm encouraged
to read more Rumi, Amma, Marianne Williamson. I am encouraged
to make a difference to myself and others." mm
"As
a 52-year old who aspires to make a positive change through
my chaplain work with the Unitarian congregration and as an
arts/educator for adults and children, I was totally taken
by Charlene's hutspa. Charlene is a dynamic, funny and thought
provoking individual. Charlene dares to lead us all to shine
our lights as brightly as the sun, knowing that by doing this
we invite others around us to do the same. Thus we will raise
the planitary vibration and have interesting and exciting
lives." Naomi Tyrrell
"Do
you ever notice the quiet and calm within and around you just
before something good happens? It's true, isn't it. For as
soon as you anticipate that something wonderful is about to
happen, it all goes still. And that's what happens when you
attend one of Charlene Roycht's talks. You become still and
prepare yourself to take in all of her radiance. Then you
listen to her words of truth and encouragement. Words that
are sometimes funny and sometimes very painful to hear. But
coming from Charlene, they are always healing because they
are spoken with unconditional love. And in the end, you walk
away with the gift of knowing that all is OK." Filomena
Guarasci, Toronto
"I recently heard Charlene Roycht's talk
on the five senses (Coming to Your Senses). Charlene
was so dynamic, witty and informative -- and she made me laugh
out loud!. I often find myself bustling through life to the
tune of white noise and not often stopping to appreciate the
sounds of silence or a bird's song. Thanks to Charlene's talk,
I was revived and revved to make a difference in my life.
I went home to listen intently to my teenager, listening with
"the ears of a child" and I found a sense of wonder
and contentment. Charlene with her wit and sensuous tales
draws us back to what is important in our lives and what our
hearts need to hear. Charlene Roycht is medicine for the soul!"
Calah Duncombe, homemaker
"Charlene
was the guest speaker at our Sunday service at the Neighbourhood
Unitarian Universalist Congregation in Toronto. She is a wonderful
speaker who captivated us with her imagery, ideas and stories.
We all participated in her talk by standing up and clapping
for the beauty in ourselves. Charlene left us feeling very
uplifted and enthusiastic. We look forward to Charlene doing
a workshop for our congregation." Ernie Kulnies,
a member and Service Leader at NUUC

"Love
to Live, Life is the Answer to Man's Eternal Question, Pure
Love is the Key ... A haiku by Wils Murphy. I wrote this haiku
during my journey with breast cancer when I realized that
I had to love myself to live. You were wonderful! I loved
all the quotes and affirmations. I collect them too and paste
them everywhere in my house. Thank you for coming to Louisville!
I Love You." Wils, Kentucky
"I
heard Charlene give a talk at the Don Heights Unitarian this
past fall. Oh my, it was so inspiring, motivating, riveting.
I don't attend any church, any ... very often.But I wanted
to hear her speak and I'm so happy to have made that effort.
She was funny; comical in a classy way. She's an excellent
speaker ... and I'm telling you every word is worth listening
to. Merl Edwards, Toronto
"I highly
recommend Charlene Roycht as a speaker. She is dynamic, engaging
and witty. For our library program, Charlene read excerpts
from her book, If Mom's Not Dead by 9, I'm Leaving: a journal
about living, loving, dying; and she discussed the difficulties,
stress and personal growth she experienced while taking care
of her dying mother. Her presentation was full of eloquence
and depth, full of life and love. Speaking from the heart,
Charlene offered her audience insight and inspiration. The
audience thoroughly enjoyed listening to Charlene and shared
their own personal questions and experiences as well." Antonia
Castro, Librarian, Toronto Public Library
"Charlene
Roycht was invited to speak at our Unitarian Fellowship here
in Sarnia, ON and she was just amazing! Her positive energy,
wonderful sense of humour and deep wisdom are truly her gifts
to a troubled world! I heard lots of comments about how inspirational
her talk was for people and lots of inquiries about when we
might invite her back!" Wendy Starr
"Charlene
Roycht presented a service at Don Heights Unitarian, Toronto,
in early July of 2006. I found her personable and comfortably
connected to our group. She presented her message very directly,
with short, relevant quotations which reinforced the personal
content. Charlene's gentle but compelling exhortation to savour
all of life: the pleasure and the pain, the ups and the downs,
and whatever the world offers as "input" touched a chord in
many of those present. Individuals' comments after our service
indicated that people found many different dimensions resonating
for them. What a gift she gave us!" Pat Westcott,
Sunday Services Co-chair
"You
are an amazing speaker, great timing, you engage the audience
very well, you have them participate, which I love, and you
are extremely passionate regarding all topics you speak about."
N.T., Toronto
"Charlene's
talk left me with the sensation of a tear in a blindfold that
lets in a powerful beam of light, one which I can't blink
away. Her passion for human rights and dedication to her beliefs
inspired and reminded me to fight complacency. She recharged
my spirit and challenged me to fight back when I see an injustice
and to speak up in my everyday encounters. Charlene makes
a difference and reminded me that all of us can." Kathleen,
Toronto
"You
are developing a particular style... which is good, the signature
pieces. I learn a lot when I listen to you speak. I do feel
motivated. I admire your courage to stand up and tell it like
it is. I also enjoy your research capacities and the way you
meld them into your talks. I am learning a lot from listening."
V. L., Toronto
"I wanted
you to know that I thought your message was wonderful on Sunday.
You are a very engaging speaker and the pacing worked beautifully.
You did a nice job getting the message out, passionately,
while keeping people focused. Thank you. We had some very
positive feedback about your talk." Moira MacDonald,
Service Leader, Neighborhood Universalist Congregation, Toronto
"Yesterday's
service went very well. It was the first Women's Day service
at NUUC. It set a great precedent. I think we need more services
like this! I enjoyed everything you had to say. Very inspirational.
Very motivational. Honestly, I felt you were simply amazing.
Very exciting." Claudia, Toronto
Program
Leader, Jennifer Alexander, Wellspring Cancer Support Centre,
Toronto, had this to say about Charlene's recent speaking
engagement: "Charlene Roycht was invited to speak about
her own experience with cancer, her personal relationship
and her coping skills and mechanisms. Charlene has the ability
to speak to women in a very warm and comforting way. The information
she shared on her day to day coping skills and the tools she
uses was extremely helpful. She has the ability to speak about
the experience of living with cancer in a humorous and compassionate
way. She is passionate about how she lives her life, which
comes through in her presentation. Charlene is a wonderful
addition to any program and I would recommend her for any
group that has a need to hear different ways of coping with
life's challenges."
"I recently heard Charlene speak on Living,
Loving and Dying and was moved by her authentic passion
and purpose on such rich and powerful topics ... I found it
utterly refreshing to listen to such a fluid and passionate
speaker. Charlene embodies her words and sentiments and delivers
them with an uplifting energy that touched my heart and the
hearts of those around me. She bravely brings to life the
issues that most of us don't have the courage to speak of!"
R.S. Toronto
"I heard
Charlene at her talk at Emmanuel Howard Park United not too
long ago, in Toronto. She spoke about her mother with such
love, devotion, compassion and raw emotion. I was moved to
tears." Nancy Ratsky, Toledo, Ohio
"Charlene
Roycht spoke at my church recently about being there for a
dying parent. I can truly say they all loved her!" Rev.

& witty! Charlene's extreme warmth and endearing expressions
of love fill a room with positivity and enthusiasm, and applause!"
